Finding Joy in the Small Moments

As April winds down, I’ve been thinking a lot about the small, everyday moments that quietly shape our days. It’s easy to get caught up in the rush — chasing big goals, solving big problems — but lately, I’m reminded that some of life’s richest joys come from the simple things.

A neighbor’s wave across the street.
Fresh coffee in the morning sun.
The first brave flowers pushing through the dirt.
A song that finds you exactly when you need it.

None of these things announce themselves loudly. They’re soft and easy to miss if we’re not looking. But when we notice them, it’s like collecting little treasures — small glimmers that remind us how good life can be, even on ordinary days.

Today, I invite you to slow down for a moment and gather a few of your own treasures. What made you smile today? What made you breathe a little deeper?

Here’s to savoring the small stuff, and to remembering that sometimes, the simple moments are the big moments after all. 💛

Easter Sunday Vibes – Family, Food, and a Bit of Sunshine

There’s something about Easter Sunday that always feels like a soft reset. Maybe it’s the pastel colors, maybe it’s the chocolate, or maybe it’s just the promise of spring finally showing up for real. Either way, this year’s Easter was a good one.

We kept it pretty simple—just close family, some good food, and lots of laughter. The kind of day where time doesn’t feel like it’s rushing, and you can just be. There were mini egg hunts in the backyard (yes, even the grown-ups got involved… no shame), and a spread of food that probably could have fed twice as many people. Ham, scalloped potatoes, fresh rolls, and more desserts than we knew what to do with. Shoutout to whoever brought that lemon meringue pie—still thinking about it.

The kids ran around with sticky fingers and big grins, the adults sipped coffee (and maybe a little wine), and the weather actually cooperated for once—sunny with just a hint of breeze. One of those rare spring days that makes you forget how long winter dragged on.

What I love most about these kinds of days is how grounded they feel. No pressure, no big plans. Just people you love, good conversation, and a reminder of how much joy lives in the little things.

Hope your Easter brought some of the same energy. Whether you spent it with a big crowd or kept it quiet, here’s to moments that fill your cup in the best way.

Until next time ✌️
